STAMFORD, CT — Today, Eilish Collins Main, Democratic state representative for Connecticut’s 146th State House District, announced that she is running for a second term to continue serving her constituents and delivering on their priorities.
“It has been a privilege to represent the Downtown, South End, and Shippan neighborhoods in the state capitol while advocating for residents’ concerns shared with me since launching my first campaign two years ago. Whether tackling ongoing affordability issues with real solutions or collaborating with the city’s legislative delegation to secure new funding to directly support the Stamford community, I have worked every day to make sure that the city can be an exciting and welcoming place for everyone,” Collins Main said. “I’m excited to formally announce my candidacy for reelection to the Connecticut House of Representatives. We’ve made real progress, but there is still more work to be done. So I’m humbly asking for the support of my neighbors across the 146th District to continue serving them with pride, honor, and dedication to our shared Stamford values."
Since being sworn in ahead of her first legislative session in 2025, Representative Collins Main has sought to be a consistently proactive voice for the 146th District and its residents’ priorities from environmental conversation and homelessness prevention to improving liveability for all and embracing Stamford’s values of community. Despite being a first-term legislator without any prior tenure in elected office, she achieved a wide array of accomplishments in her first term including a 100% voting record in 2025, two years of funding for Pacific House totaling $70,000, attending over 300 community events and coffee meetings in Stamford, and more.
Last Wednesday, May 20, 2026, delegates from across the 146th District unanimously endorsed Collins Main for the Democratic nomination.
