STAMFORD, CT — The votes have all been counted in Stamford after residents hit the polls Tuesday to make their voices heard.
Democrats had a strong night in Stamford in the state senate and state representative races, matching trends seen throughout the state and country.
On Election Day, Gov. Ned Lamont, Democrat, received 646,742 votes, and his Republican challenger Ryan Fazio earned 454,488 with about 90 percent of the full vote total, unofficial results show.
U.S. Rep. Jim Himes (CT-4) was re-elected, along with his fellow Democratic colleagues Luke Bronin (CT-1), Joseph Courtney (CT-2), Rosa DeLauro (CT-3), and Jahana Hayes (CT-5).
Also winning re-election were Democrats Attorney General William Tong, Secretary of State Stephanie Thomas, Treasurer Erick Russell, and Comptroller Sean Scanlon, according to the Secretary of State's website.
Here is how Stamford residents voted in the key races.
(Editor's Note: Some candidates were on the ballot multiple times, which is why you may see two or even three vote totals for a candidate. Also note that several candidates involved multiple towns, and the numbers below reflect Stamford alone. These results are still unofficial as of now.)
